I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with my piano after your tuning session.

I am back to playing it every day now. The tone is wonderful, mellow and rich, with a brightness I haven’t heard for a long time.

Thank you so much from my piano and me!

Anne, Sevenoaks

Thank you so much for tuning my piano beautifully....very impressed, it has never sounded so lovely!

J.     Maidstone

Thank you so much for all of your hard work today.  It brought a big smile to my face when I played my piano this afternoon, it sounds wonderful!

Jenny, Sevenoaks

The little Boyd is transformed! And the Petrof/Weinbach is just
wonderful, a real joy to play, the sound is amazing! I'm sure my playing has improved.

Tuning the National Trust's 1830s Stodart compensator frame piano, which has a connection with the magnificent German composer  Felix Mendelssohn.

The 1820 Broadwood piano made for King George IV which is being conserved by Nigel Scaife and featured in a Channel 4 documentary.  I am very well acquainted with this beautiful piano and look forward to working on it as soon as it is ready.

Richard Goldstein

I completed my original training in organ building and tuning in 1979 and have worked in the UK and abroad.  I later trained as a piano technician.  Much of my work has been in major institutions including:

The Chapel Royal, St.James Palace
St Paul's Cathedral, London

The Royal Festival Hall, London

Kent County Council, Adult Education

Tonbridge School, Kent

Sevenoaks School, Kent

London Recording Studios

English National Opera, London

St John’s Smith Square, London

Pembroke College, Cambridge
Canterbury Cathedral, Kent
St. James Cathedral, Seattle WA, USA
Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Portland OR, USA

I now work mostly in the South East of England, where I undertake a range of concert, recital, institutional and domestic tunings, action regulation, voicing, toning, repair and maintenance work.  I am also involved in the conservation and restoration of historical keyboard instruments. I strive not only be excellent at what I do, but also to educate the public as well. To tune a piano poorly is denying people the experience of having a properly tuned instrument. This can cause students to lose interest and owners to lose trust.  I am always happy to answer any question about the instrument and my tuning methods.  For more information or general inquiries, feel free to get in touch today.
